Two Revenger 29 Mk2 RIBs to Corsica 2009 in 4K

Crossing from Cannes to Saint Florent by 2 Revenger 29 Mk2 RIBs model 2009.

Particularly well defined by their owners, their equipment classifies them as top-of-the-range, high-performance boats.

I’ve posted this video earlier here but this one is the improved version.

What happened to Revenger RIBs, built for speed?

I picked this up from the Revenger Facebook group by Arwin Boering for which I’m grateful:
“Hello Karel. Revenger boat company closed down in 2015 due to lack of sales and spiralling costs etc, etc. Only this year the moulds were bought from Ribeye (who bought them from Revenger but were not able to use them) by a boat company in Greece who plan to continue on with the brand.”

The Revenger RIB hull and deck moulds have been acquired by Theodosios Rigas of Powerboat Centre in Athens, Greece.

The preparation of these boats was carried out in Lorient by SAS (Brittany, France).

The original footage had room for improvement, and efforts have been made to enhance its quality as good as possible.

This video showcases numerous Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) for enthusiasts to appreciate, spanning the years between 2003 and 2010.

The original music on this video made YouTube state that “this video contains copyrighted material. As a result, it has been blocked in some countries and/or regions”.

The Association was formed in 1990 following the first Round Scotland cruise/race and is recognised by both the RYA and the UIM as the UK National Authority for Rigid Inflatable Boats.

BIBOA RIB Race 10 – 16 June 1990 – improved quality in 4K

The British Inflatable Boat Owners Association (BIBOA) is/was(?) the UK RIB club for those who like to cruise and socialise in Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs).

The Association was formed in 1990 following the first Round Scotland cruise/race and is recognised by both the RYA and the UIM as the UK National Authority for Rigid Inflatable Boats.

This video shows many fantastic looking RIBs. It really is a must see RIB video. The race was called “Highlands and Islands RIB Race” held from 10 to 16 June 1990.

I improved the video image quality and upscaled it to 4K. To enjoy it to the fullest, change the settings in the YouTube video to 4K: click settings then quality then 2160p (= 4K).
