The Annual Bull Run of 2025 Off the Irish Coast

Bull Run for Fun

Over the Easter weekend of 2025, the annual Bull Run for Fun took to the Atlantic once again.

There were 56 boats making the journey out to the Bull Rock. Among them, 33 were powered by Suzuki.

It was fantastic to see so many skippers out on the water off the scenic Irish coast.

I’ve read that as always, Redbay Boats turned out in strong numbers, adding to the impressive fleet.

I really like these kind of videos so I posted more of them: Adventure videos.

About Bull Rock

Bull Rock is unique in that a hole traverses all the way through the islet.

Irish mythology claims the rock as “Tech Duinn”, the “house of the dark one”.

It is also called the “House of Donn“. This is where the souls of the dead gather.

The hole became known as the “Entrance of the Underworld”.

The Rock is uninhabited and can not be directly visited but only by boat tours around the Rock (source).

Two Revenger 29 Mk2 RIBs to Corsica 2009 in 4K

Revenger RIBs Rock!

This video shows the crossing from Cannes to Saint Florent by 2 Revenger 29 Mk2 RIBs model 2009.

The preparation of these Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) was carried out in Lorient by SAS (Brittany, France).

Particularly well defined by their owners, their equipment classifies them as top-of-the-range, high-performance boats.

I’ve posted this video earlier here but this one is the improved version. I hope you like it better.

What Happened to the Brand?

I was contacted via the Revenger Facebook group by Arwin Boering for which I’m grateful:

Hello Karel. Revenger boat company closed down in 2015 due to lack of sales and spiralling costs etc, etc.
Only this year (2022) the moulds were purchased by Ribeye. That company could not use them.
A boat company in Greece now owns them and plans to continue with the brand.

After some research I found that the moulds have been acquired by Theodosios Rigas of Powerboat Centre in Athens, Greece.

Impressive BIBOA RIBs Video – 2003 to 2010 in 4K

Upgraded BIBOA RIBs Video

For an optimal viewing experience, adjust the YouTube video settings to 4K: navigate to “Settings,” then select “Quality” and choose 2160p (4K).

The original footage had room for improvement, and efforts have been made to enhance its quality as good as possible.

This video showcases numerous Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) for enthusiasts to appreciate, spanning the years between 2003 and 2010.

The original music on this video made YouTube state that “this video contains copyrighted material. As a result, it has been blocked in some countries and/or regions”.

Here’s another video by BIBOA that got a lot of great comments in our Facebook group.

The British Inflatable Boat Owners Association (BIBOA) is/was(?) the UK RIB club for those who like to cruise and socialise in Rigid Inflatable Boats. The Association was formed in 1990 following the first Round Scotland cruise/race and is recognised by both the RYA and the UIM as the UK National Authority for Rigid Inflatable Boats.
