The presenter typically reviews jet-powered personal watercraft (PWC), making several aspects of the Velox 560 unfamiliar.

That fresh perspective arguably makes the review even more insightful from our point of view.

The Highfield Velox 560 could introduce a different approach to recreational jet-powered RIBs in the US.

The 5.6-metre (19 ft) model reportedly features a 300 hp Rotax jet engine and reaches speeds of around 50 mph (80 km/h / 43.4 knots).

The specifications indicate a maximum power of 230 hp…

Its aluminium hull and inflatable tubes are said to provide the stability of a conventional 21- to 23-foot boat.

Multiple air chambers could improve safety by keeping the remaining tubes inflated after a puncture.

A large swim platform, modular seating for up to five people and strong offshore capability may appeal to coastal boaters seeking speed, versatility and confidence in agitated water.

From hull to deck, this Capelli RIB nearly every element has reportedly been reworked to improve comfort, functionality and onboard space.

At the stern, a spacious cockpit surrounds a single outboard engine of up to 350 hp.

The central lounge features a reclining backrest and an optional hydraulic table, which may convert into an extended sunbed.

The helm station offers integrated storage, USB charging, optional refrigeration and space for modern electronics.

A wraparound windshield and optional T-Top could enhance protection underway.

Forward, the bow includes generous sunbathing areas, additional seating and access to an optional marine or chemical toilet.

Otherwise, the compartment may serve as practical storage.

The redesigned bow incorporates an integrated anchor system and a wider boarding area.

With maximum power, the Tempest 800 Open could exceed 50 knots while maintaining comfort.

It is reportedly certified in both CE category B* and C*.

How to Use the Active Trim®

This Mercury trim system removes the guesswork from engine trimming, allowing boaters to focus on enjoying their time on the water.

Before using the system for the first time, switch the ignition on without starting the engine.
Trim the engine fully down and hold the switch for five seconds.
Next, trim fully up, hold for another five seconds, then return the engine to the down position before starting.
Once on open water, bring the boat onto the plane at a comfortable cruising speed.
Fine-tune the trim profile until the boat runs efficiently without porpoising.
Save the setting by pressing both arrow buttons simultaneously.

Active Trim will automatically remember the optimum trim profile.

To me, you learn al lot by not using systems like this.

Active Trim is certainly a useful feature, but learning to trim your boat manually helps you become a better skipper.

You’ll gain a deeper understanding of how speed, wave conditions, wind, passenger load, and weight distribution all influence your boat’s performance.
