Is the SuperRib Open 27 the Future?

SuperRib Open 27 Rather Innovative?

The video is again a job well done!

But I’m going to be honest. Whenever I read such a statement, in this case the “RIB of the future?”, I am more sceptical than usual.

Maybe you feel that way too because what is the future and how do you predict it?

Perhaps it’s a somewhat unfortunate choice of words and probably one to name as a differentiator from the competition for this SuperRIB Open 27.

I prefer to stick to “innovative” like, for instance, the new Mercury 600 V12.

I recently had the opportunity to experience this technology on a twin installation on a massive Technohull Omega 47. It’s really something else. More on that in a forthcoming article.

Ballistic XP80 Impresses

All New Ballistic XP80

According to the UK-based Ballistic RIB brand, their new XP80 is a groundbreaking new model .

This 8-metre Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) features a hidden head (toilet) in the centre console, an entertainment area, and a luxurious sun bed at the rear.

The T-top structure is designed to carry some stuff for many activities in the water.

The Ballistic XP80 in this video is powered by a 300 hp Yamaha outboard giving it speeds up to 50 knots.

“We’re thrilled to launch the XP80,” said Ballistic Sales Director, Tom Sanderson.

“This is a truly innovative design that will change the way people think about RIBs. Whether you’re an avid adventurer, a commercial operator, or just looking for a fun and comfortable way to explore the water, the XP80 has something for everyone.”

The video brings attention to RIB Rally, a thrilling event that involves powerboats racing around the island!

The video captures a remarkable race as one of its crew members falls overboard in a blink of an eye, but the skipper quickly springs into action and manages to safely rescue him before continuing on with the race.

Powerboat racing is an extreme sport that requires lots of thrill & excitement; and this video beautifully captures the same. It also emphasizes on the importance of safety protocols and team collaboration for a successful race.
