Introduction

Writing the article ‘How to buy a RIB‘, I mentioned that the hull is the most important part of the RIB. It defines the RIB so to speak.

So what makes a good hull? I found it of interest to you to hear the experts on this matter. So I contacted a top RIB hull designer to tell us more on this subject: Alexandros Stavroulakis.

Alex is a Greek Naval Architect, R&D Director and co-owner of Skipper-BSK, a Greek RIB shipyard that stands for speed and luxury.

BSK Marine is a company that has years experience in vessel constructing and her rapid progress creates a remarkable history and makes Skipper boats synonymous to quality and seaworthiness.

Designing a Skipper Boat is a new challenge every time. Having studied naval architecture and industrial design and also being working in the boat industry from an early age, he knows each detail and every step of the boat construction from the inside to the outside and has the ability to make a supreme design from inside out.

Sealegs Amphibious Vessel Impressive Training with Pete Bethune

In the video “Sealegs Amphibious Vessel Training with Pete Bethune”, adventurer and conservationist Pete Bethune demonstrates how to operate a Sealegs amphibious Rigid Inflatable Boat. The Sealegs is a RIB that can transform into a land vehicle, allowing it to easily navigate between water and land.

Bethune begins by showing the various features of the Sealegs, including the retractable wheels, the hydraulic system that lowers and raises the wheels, and the joystick control for maneuvering the vessel. He then takes the Sealegs for a spin on both land and water, showcasing its versatility and ease of use.

Throughout the video, Bethune emphasizes the importance of safety and responsible operation of the Sealegs. He discusses the need to wear life jackets, follow local laws and regulations, and be mindful of the environment when operating the vessel.

Overall, the video provides a comprehensive introduction to the Sealegs amphibious vessel and highlights its potential as a tool for exploration, conservation, and recreation.
