Twisted Scorpion 36GT Brings Scorpion Performance to a Touring RIB

The Twisted Scorpion 36GT combines Scorpion’s offshore hull design with Twisted Marine’s more individual approach to styling and finishing.

Its layout is clearly aimed at fast day boating and longer coastal trips. A substantial hardtop protects the central cockpit, while the helm area uses wrap-around protection and supportive seating.

Forward, passengers get a sociable seating area around a convertible table. Aft seating adds more space for guests without making the cockpit feel crowded.

The vacuum-infused GRP construction is paired with ORCA Hypalon tubes, keeping the design firmly within traditional offshore RIB territory.

Overall, the 36GT is positioned as a performance-focused cruising RIB, with comfort and practical deck space playing a larger role than on a pure offshore machine.

Twisted Scorpion 34T: Offshore Performance Meets Luxury

The Twisted Scorpion 34T blends serious offshore performance with the comfort and finish expected from a high-end British leisure Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB).

At around 10.4 metres long and 3.1 metres wide, it offers a spacious layout suited to cruising and tender use.

A pair of 300 hp Honda outboards delivers strong performance, supported by joystick steering and a bow thruster for easier handling.

On deck, passengers get ample seating, a forward sunpad, a wet bar, refrigeration, a sink and protection beneath the hardtop.

Boarding steps over the tubes, a swim ladder, towing fittings and a private toilet compartment add useful practicality for longer trips.

With roughly 900 litres of fuel capacity, the 34T combines extended range with reported maximum speeds approaching 60 knots.

The Scorpion RIB Brand: What Happened to it?

Scorpion RIB Brand is Saved

The UK brand was celebrated worldwide for their high-performance hulls and exceptional craftsmanship, Scorpion RIBs captured boating enthusiasts’ admiration.

This brand was renowned for its engineering excellence. It was admired for its pioneering spirit, outstanding performance, and record-setting achievements.

In early 2024, British based Scorpion RIBs entered administration. This was caused by escalating costs linked to the war in Ukraine and higher interest rates.

The brand was subsequently revived by Twisted Marine, which acquired its assets and intellectual property.

The brand now operates under the name Twisted Scorpion RIBs, and production of high-performance RIBs has already resumed.

The new owners are focused on safeguarding the distinguished legacy of the famous Scorpion RIBs and that’s a very smart move.
