RIB Revenger 29 Mk2 Great Trip From Cannes to Corsica

Two Revenger 29 Mk2s from 2009 sailed from Cannes (F) to Saint Florent (Corsica). These Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) are considered as high-performance boats and built for speed.

Here is another video of this much respected brand.

Unfortunately the once famous British shipyard closed in 2015.

The preparation of those boats was done in Lorient by SAS (www.revenger.fr) which is a testament to their quality.

Sadly SAS also stopped their activities due to the fact that Revenger went out of business because of lack of sales.

Nevertheless it is still a sought-after RIB brand.

The Incredible Fabio Buzzi 42 Sport RIB

For the build of this 13 meter Fabio Buzzi 42 kevlar was also used. One can recognise these RIBs from far due to its typical shape of the high rising bow.

But there’s more to tell than meets the eye.

This technique stores potential energy when it hits a wave and then turns this into kinetic energy when it impacts the water, retrieving 90% of stored energy that would have otherwise been lost.

The Fabio Buzzi 42 Sport RIB can reach incredible speeds on choppy water because of the wave-bouncing technique.

The only brand that builds truly mega RIBs is without any doubt the Italian shipyard Heaven.

Heaven’s Flagship

The flagship is the 80, measuring 24 meters in length and 5.7 meters in width. It can reach a speed of 45 knots! The luxury level for the 30 passengers this Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) can accommodate is very high.

The video is in Italian and you cannot choose subtitles in your language of choice.

Nevertheless, the video gives a good impression of these three mega RIBs. Do checkout this one as well where the shipyard has purchased the Acume 50 mold from which the 50 will soon be born.
