Genesis 31 RIB Highlights Advanced Hull Engineering

The Tropida Genesis 31 RIB Could Exceed 70 Knots!

According to the company, the Genesis 31 Rigid Inflatable Boat has been designed to combine offshore performance, efficiency and premium comfort in a 9,5-metre platform.

The model was developed by Panagiotis Samartzis in collaboration with renowned hull designer Adam Younger (also member of our RIB community)

The Genesis 31 features a deep-V convex hull with twin ventilated steps, double chine geometry, patented twin bow steps, and an anti-dive system*.

According to Tropida, these technologies could improve ride quality, stability and spray control in demanding offshore conditions.

Engine options range from twin 150 hp to twin 500 hp. The company states the Genesis 31 can exceed 70 knots.

It also claims fuel consumption of just 1,8 litres per nautical mile at 35 knots with twin Mercury 300 V8 outboards.

* According to the company, the system reduces bow impact, helping prevent stuffing and minimise deceleration in rough seas.

The Greek built TROPIDA Cosmic 39 Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) combines high performance with premium onboard comfort.

Measuring 12 metres long with a 3.65-metre beam, this luxury RIB accommodates engines from 2 × 300 hp to 4 × 500 hp.

The featured setup uses 3 × 450 hp Mercury Racing outboards, delivering 71 knots, while the shipyard claims speeds approaching 100 knots!

The Cosmic 39 is a Power House

First things first.

This COSMIC 39 Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) was honored at the Iron A’ Design Award 2019 for its innovative design excellence.

After four open sea racing titles, Takis Samartzis founded TROPIDA, a name rooted in the Greek word for keel.

Three vented steps create a cushion of water and air, requiring precise study of airflow under the hull. Chine shape and size direct spray away in rough conditions.

A polyester bow and closed tube ends enhance reliability, airworthiness, and tube protection.

The arched deck improves stability, aerodynamics, and cabin usability. Interior includes 1,85 m height, toilet, shower, closet, double bed, and storage.

Aluminum seats provide seated or standing stability with suspension comfort.

Like most luxurious RIBs this one features a wet bar, refrigerator, folding table, sundeck, hidden windlass, and electric bow catwalk.
