The circular economy is an alternative to the linear economy. A linear economy is a system of production and consumption where resources are extracted, processed and disposed of in a linear fashion, resulting in the depletion of natural resources.
A circular economy aims to create a more sustainable system by reducing waste, preserving resources and improving efficiency.
So it’s about redesigning products so they can be repaired or reused, and using renewable energy sources to make all this happen.

Motorboat and Yachting editor Hugo Andreae tested the speed of the 650 hp Police RIB by Ultimate Boats 11 at the 2022 Seawork Boat Show. It was the first one built.

The Ultimate Boat builds also cool sailing yachts. But we’re focussing on their impressive Rigid Inflatable Boats.
Let’s start with a jaw-dropping statement: “UB boats are built from the latest materials, utilising the patented and recyclable composite material DANU™, a super tough, hydrophobic composite that uses the same infusion bagging build methods as GRP and Carbon but is stronger and lighter than GRP.”
I believe this is a serious game changer! We will come to that later in an interview with Jeroen Wats, Technical and Innovation Director of Ultimate Boats.
