I’ve posted some messages about the all new Capelli Tempest 38 with renderings and brochure photos. This slideshow is about the very first Tempest 38 Rigid Inflatable Boat in Belgium.
I was invited to join the presentation of this big Capelli RIB at bruggemarinecenter.com (BMC). This is my impression. Hope you like it.

This RIB Skipper-BSK NC 100C is nearly 10 meters in length and has 4 steps.
The V-hull has a dead rise of 24°. With 2 x 300 hp a speed of 65 knots can be achieved. Without engines nor trailer you have 1620 Kg to spare if you want to take it on the road.
This luxury version Rigid Inflatable Boat offers a bow cabin, electric toilet with a washbasin, berths for 2 and a small kitchen with fridge.
The slideshow are renderings and when I was in Düsseldorf 2018 designer Alexandros Stavroulakis informed me that the molds were in the making and that int the summer of 2018 the RIB should be ready.
By the way, you can opt for a carbon/kevlar construction.

Recently a RIB enthusiast contacted me with the question if I had some pictures of the RIB he bought.
I took a dive in my archives and found that during the Belgian Offshore Challenge 2006 this Osprey Lynx with inboard participated.
The big Rigid Inflatable Boat was delivered by Brugge Marine Center who is a friend of RIBs ONLY.
During that race I used my Nikon D90 with 6 megapixel on a DX chip. It was my third digital camera. Nowadays I use a Nikon Z 9 with 45 megapixel FX (full frame) and my Nikon D810 FX as backup.

Anyone who rides the rough seas in a RIB knows the added value of shock mitigation seats. They reduce the risk of injury and make you less tired. There are many brands nowadays.

Osprey RIBs are known for their excellent behaviour in rough waters.
At least that is what I concluded after seeing them in action during races on our North Sea for many years.
If maintained well, they keep a good value in the second hand market. I know at least two with a great palmares. Ofcourse they are also suited to entertain family and friends. But make no mistake, once unleashed they surprise each and every owner in a very positive way.
