BSC 85 Elegance Test Results
I restrict my description to the actual testing. The video showcases the Rigid Inflatable Boat’s lay-out.
The Elegance version offers a wider range of colours compared to the Sport and Classic models.
Testing the Italian built BSC 85 Elegance RIB with a single 350-hp Honda outboard showed these results.
Idle speed was 2.6 knots at 2.6 l/h. Planing occurred at 12.1 knots (2500 rpm, 23 liter per hour).
Optimal cruise was around 22–24 knots at ~1 l/nm.
Top speed reached 42.7 knots at 6000 rpm with 126 l/h fuel burn, despite a fouled hull.
The RIB maintained a dry, stable ride in varying seas. It offered responsive handling. The Rigid Inflatable Boat featured generous deck space suitable for leisure or charter operations.
