The circular economy is an alternative to the linear economy.
A linear economy is a system of production and consumption where resources are extracted, processed and disposed of in a linear fashion, resulting in the depletion of natural resources.
According to Jeroen Wats, a circular economy aims to create a more sustainable system by reducing waste, preserving resources and improving efficiency.
So it’s about redesigning products so they can be repaired or reused, and using renewable energy sources to make all this happen.
