2017 Yellow Osprey Lynx on Request

During many years I’ve been shooting RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats) during many races. This series of photos I shot during the Belgian Offshore Challenge (BOC). It was true racing in a great spirit that is hard to find today.

The Yellow Osprey Lynx

One day a passionate RIB fanatic asked me for pictures of a certain RIB. It was the yellow Osprey Lynx with inboard engine.

Anyone familiar with the RIB world knows that Osprey RIBs feel at their best in rough seas.

Below you will find the shots I took during that RIB race on the North Sea.

Meanwhile the Yellow RIB was retubed in black.

Osprey RIBs are well-known for their excellent behaviour in agitated seas en still keep the speed. In many races in the Benelux they won prices.

First Trip Custom Built Osprey Seaharrier 6.6

This Mercury powered Osprey Seaharrier 6.6 is custom built by Ron Stolp for a client. Ron is the new owner of all hardnose Osprey molds Vipermax.

The name “Osprey” is owned bij BMC. Check out his Facebook page to see the build process (https://www.facebook.com/ron.stolp.56). Lots of images there.
