Shooting RIB Jump Photos Is the Max!

This time, I explored the Medianaut RIB racing archives to share a collection of memorable Rigid Inflatable Boat racing photographs.

Some images appeared in printed magazines, while others were published across the web.

It is amusing to see that some people removed my signature, despite the considerable effort required to erase it convincingly.

These professional racers understand exactly what they are doing, making these spectacular RIB jump photos completely authentic.

I have photographed with Nikon cameras for more than 35 years. Why have I never switched to another brand?

The answer is simple. My father already used a Nikkormat, and decades ago he bought me my first analogue Nikon (FM).

From that moment, Nikon became my trusted system.

Later, I founded Medianaut – Nautical News Media in 2003 and embraced digital photography.

Today, my youngest daughter Anne is continuing that passion by building her own experience behind the camera.

I bought her first Nikon D90 while visiting the United States to photograph the renowned powerboat manufacturer Regal.

She has already demonstrated an excellent instinct for capturing high-speed RIBs in action. She photographed the image above.
