Vision Marine’s New Outboard
The Vision Marine E-Motion 180 is an electric outboard delivering 180 hp (132 kW) continuously and up to 215 hp for short bursts.
It operates on a 650 volt system. It produces 350 Nm of torque. It supports battery options of 35, 70, or an optional 99 kWh.
The engine itself has a stated weight of approximately 40 kg.
With a full charge, the E-motion 180E by Vision Marine offers an estimated range of 70 nautical miles.
It has a shaft length of 25 inches (0,64 m).
When cruising at 17,4 knots, boaters can typically run for about 3,5 hours, though actual endurance varies with boat type and conditions.
Suitable for boats between 18 and 26 feet, it can be charged via a standard 220V or 240V connection.
The engine, battery pack, BMS (Battery management system), charger, monitor, throttle controls and all the other components needed to power the boat are included.
Vision Marine Technologies is a publicly traded company (Nasdaq) which is already 25 years active in the boating industry. It is in the business of designing and manufacturing electric outboard powertrain systems and related technologies.
