Superonda 820 RIB Rough Ride in the Aegean Sea

Greek Built Superonda 820

On Mother’s day in 2017, two brave men set off at the South West edge of Kithnos island in Greece.

They were going upwind against a 6 Beaufort.

They took the challenge in their Superonda 820 Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB).

The boat is powered by twin 200 hp 4 cylinder Mercury Verados.

In people’s adventures, I often read that they mention only the force of the wind. Most of the time, it is used as a reference.

After some research I wrote an article of the importance of defining the height of the waves as well to describe the context better: Wind, Waves, Swell: Beaufort vs Douglas Sea Scale
