How-to Install
Just a quick summary of this video.
The technician is installing a handle and D-ring on a PVC tube using a structured gluing and prepping process.
A slot is cut into cardboard and glue to keep the D-ring stable during application.
All gluing surfaces have been properly prepped and taped for both components.
The process begins by heating the D-ring surface.
The handle, made of extruded plastic, doesn’t bond like PVC fabric. Extra curing time is given after the first glue coat.
Following this, second and third coats are applied. Alignment marks help position the D-ring accurately.
Some air is removed from the tube to prevent the handle’s edges from lifting.
