How Sea Shepherd Volunteers Train for RIB Missions

Inside Sea Shepherd RIB Training in the Raz de Sein

Rémy from Neuville-sur-Saône (France) has joined the Sea Shepherd association with the goal of serving aboard the NGO vessel John Paul DeJoria in French Guiana. His target role is bosun on a rigid inflatable boat (RIB), supporting Sea Shepherd’s marine conservation missions.

To strengthen his RIB boat handling and offshore skills, Rémy trained in the challenging waters of the Raz de Sein, a well-known testing ground for professional crews.

He has already completed the first training level, with the next certification in preparation. This hands-on Sea Shepherd RIB training improves operational readiness for future missions at sea.
