RIB Trailer Important DIY Upgrade by VISTATREKKER

From Bunks to Rollers: How and Why

Sometimes, upgrading your trailer is essential for improved comfort, safety, and ease of towing.

Challenging conditions, like rough launch sites or long-distance travel, can expose limitations in your setup.

A well-planned upgrade ensures your gear performs as intended.

This makes each trip smoother, safer, and more enjoyable in the long run.

In this DIY upgrade, Robin (aka VISTATREKKER) focuses on getting it right.

He modifies the trailer for its intended purpose. This includes tackling tricky launch sites and long-distance towing.

Watch as he installs a roller system and reviews Floatem trailer guide poles, breaking down their advantages and limitations.

RIB Adventure in a January Dawn by VISTATREKKER

A VISTATREKKER Story Worth Watching

.I was instantly drawn to Robin’s video style. He’s a fantastic storyteller, and this video proves it once again.

This episode follows a mid-winter dawn run in the Irish Sea aboard two RIBs (see specs below).

Launching from Skerries before sunrise, the crew heads out into the darkness, chasing the first light of day.

They reach Rockabill Lighthouse just as the sun breaks the horizon, casting golden light across the sea.

The journey continues south to Lambay Island.

They they stop for coffee above the wreck of the RMS Tayleur—sometimes called the “first Titanic.”

After circling the island, they push north again through the cold.

They return to Skerries to recover the boats and warm up.

Robin’s RIB is an Nividic 550 Aluminium 3D Tender Rigid Inflatable Boat, fitted with a Suzuki DF100 on a Bunk Trailer*.

His friend used a Lencraft 620 RIB with a Honda 130 on a roller trailer.

His video as published on the VISTATREKKER YouTube channel. Highly recommended!

3D Tender NIVIDIC 655 Suzuki Powered with 150 hp

Presentation of the 3D Tender NIVIDIC

From everything I’ve seen in this company video, the Dream 655 by 3D Tender looks like an interesting RIB (de gustibus et coloribus non disputandum).

The layout and features of this Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) look quite standard to me.

On their website, I read that the Valmex® PVC fabric is a quality fabric made in Germany by the brand Mehler.

The wide rear platforms seem like a great solution especially after a swim.

The built-in freshwater shower is a small detail that adds a lot of convenience. Many RIBs have that option.

The seating of this 3D Tender NIVIDIC appears spacious and practical, especially the rear bench with hidden storage underneath.

The console looks clean and functional, and the built-in rod holders are a nice bonus for fishing fans.

I also appreciate how much storage they’ve managed to integrate.

And that bow setup with both a table and sunbed option makes it feel cozy.

The 3D Tender NIVIDIC is definitely a Rigid Inflatable Boat I’d love to try out.

The brand name is 3D Tender but I ‘ve created a category here about tenders of many brands: Discover the tender videos and news.
