Bearing Marine 28’s Hydrofoil Technology

Bearing Marine 28 Entry Level RIB

The Bearing Marine 28, Classic Center Console, is a hydrofoil-supported catamaran. The RIB is presented by Alexei Mikhailov, founder and CEO of Bering Yachts with the shipyard in Turkey.

Its hydrofoil technology lifts the Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) gradually, avoiding the abrupt “hump” of traditional planing hulls.

At around 3,000 RPM, it rises smoothly onto the foil, ensuring stability.

Above 30–35 knots, depending on load, the catamaran benefits from an air-cushion effect, gliding with minimal resistance.

Powered by twin 200-horsepower Suzuki outboards, it can achieve speeds of up to 65 knots.

Even in rough seas, performance improves with speed, offering a remarkably smooth ride compared to monohulls or conventional cats.

The hydrofoil system also enhances fuel efficiency and reduces jolts.

These features make the Bearing Marine 28 fast, versatile, and highly attractive as both a tender and performance boat.
