The Italian Aqvaboats
Powered by a single 250 hp Mercury V8, the Aquabots Lux Rib 25 was tested off Torre Annunziata, Italy, in rapidly changing sea conditions.
During factory sea trials, the boat reached 40 knots despite carrying a T-top and operating in choppy water.
Its infusion-built hull features variable geometry, multiple steps, ventilation tunnels and stabilizing chines.
These design elements minimize roll, maintain a level attitude and improve comfort at speed.
The Aqvaboats RIB planes at 12 knots and 2,750 rpm, cruises comfortably between 26 and 32 knots.
They recorded an average fuel consumption of approximately 1.5 litres per nautical mile.
According to the builder, each boat is individually tested and can be customized extensively, including satellite internet connectivity and tailored onboard equipment.
