The Unseen Struggles of the Whales
Every year, many whales suffer and die after getting entangled in fishing ropes and gear left in the ocean.
These gentle giants are essential to ocean health but often drown or starve while trying to escape the entanglement.
It’s truly heartbreaking to witness such preventable suffering in whales that deserve our protection and respect.
The rescue teams worked hard to save these entangled beautiful whales, and they need our awareness and support.
Not Stressing the Whale
Notice how they’ve lifted the twin outboards out of the water.
This is both to avoid disturbing the already stressed whale and for safety reasons.
This time the team were part of the Fisheries and Oceans Canada and focused on the whales.
