Rigorous Testing the Titus

The new 10,5 meter RIB by the UK BLS Marine group (website) for RibRide (website) is located in North Wales in Anglesey, UK.

It underwent official coding trials ahead of delivery.

The launch marked a full inspection and operational assessment supervised by the UK’s Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA website).

Richard Lynford, MCA surveyor, oversaw the vessel from construction to final stability tests and sea trials.

The team loaded 1,54 tonnes, measured freeboard, shifted weight sideways, and deflated tubes to assess buoyancy.

Emergency stops, steering drills and a single-handed recovery of an unconscious casualty were also tested.

The boat passed all requirements, with documentation completed under MCA standards.
