The RIB Photo and Video Contest 2025 organised by RIBsONLY.com, celebrated outstanding achievements in visual storytelling across photography and video.
This free competition is all about enjoying the creative process, showcasing your talent, and earning the prestige of being recognized.
This year’s submissions showcased a higher level of originality, technical skill, and strong narrative vision across these 4 categories:

A professional jury evaluated entries for visual impact, creativity, and storytelling power, rewarding works with aesthetic quality and meaningful messages.
The jury is absolutely thrilled to unveil the winners of the 3rd Annual RIB Photo and Video Contest 2025.
This year, you can upload your work directly via the submission form. Submit photos in JPG or PNG, and videos in MP4 format only.
Optional: Include RIB configuration details or the story behind your submission—extra context is encouraged by the jury. As always, no watermarks and ads.
Then in the same form enter the details: your full name, category, info about the photo and video etc. in the displayed form.

File format: photo Each photo must not exceed 15 MB. Ensure each photo is equal or at least 720 x 720 pixels. More is better. The maximum dimension is 4096 x 4096 pixels. You may submit up to 4 unique photos per category in the Contest. Only JPG (JPEG) or PNG formats will be accepted.
File format: video All video formats must be MP4 and horizontal. Each video file must not exceed 50 MB. Duration is around one minute ore less. You may submit up to 4 unique videos per category in the Contest.
This year, there are 4 exciting categories for you to choose from.
A. Photo Leisure Use: Highlighting the recreational aspects of RIBbing with your own Rigid Inflatable Boat, non-professional, non-commercial. B. Photo Professional Deployment of the RIB: Showing the deployment of Rigid Inflatable Boats for commercial purposes (main income source), like military, tactical, customs, police, marine biology and rescue operations. C. Video Leisure Use: Around one minute video or shorter, non-commercial. Horizontal videos only. D. Video Professional Deployment of the RIB : Around one minute video or shorter, non-commercial. Horizontal videos only.
Per category 4 files are allowed You can enter 4 different and unique files per category. Don’t enter the same media in different categories.
Contest Timeline for the Photo and Video Contest
Entries for the Photo and Video Contest must be admitted by November 15th 2025 at one minute to Midnight. “Midnight” can be different due to the time zone of the entrant. Later submissions will not be considered. The jury will announce the winners mid December 2025.

Here Are the Rules
The term “The 3rd Annual RIB Photo and video 2025 Contest” shall henceforth be referenced herein as the “Contest”.
Eligibility: The Contest is free, regardless of age or location. However, employees and immediate family members of Medianaut who organizes the contest are not eligible.
Privacy Policy: By participating in the Contest, the entrant acknowledges he/she has read and understood the Privacy Policy which is available on this page.
By participating in the Contest: Entrants explicitly consent to unreservedly accept all regulations and the ultimate judgment, relinquishing any entitlement to dispute or appeal.
Photo quality Standards: Each photo must be in JPG (JPEG) or PNG format. They must not exceed 15 MB. Ensure each photo is equal or at least 720 x 720 pixels. More is better. The maximum dimension is 4096 x 4096 pixels. You may submit up to 4 unique photos per category.
Video Quality Standards: Each video must be in MP4 format. It must not exceed 50 MB. You may submit up to 4 unique videos per category in the Contest. All video formats must be horizontal. and have a duration of around one minute or shorter. Submissions that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted.
Subject Matter: Photos and videos must prominently feature the Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) as the primary subject. Marketing your brand, company, using watermarks, or showing a RIB being built or refurbished is not the goal.
Safety First: Photos and videos should not depict any dangerous or irresponsible behaviour involving RIBs. Any content that endangers the marine environment will not be accepted.
Respectful Content: Obscene, racist, pornographic, indecent, harassing, threatening, offensive or inappropriate photos and videos will not be accepted. Respect for other participants and the broader audience is essential. The photos and videos entered must not violate national or international regulations regarding domestic security.
Originality: Each entrant in the Contest must represent their original creation. The entrant must possess absolute proprietorship and copyright entitlement over the depicted photos and videos. The use of copyrighted commercial music or commercial footage must be substantiated with written proof of authorization to use it. Submissions not meeting this requirement will not be accepted. The submission of photos and videos that infringe upon copyright or intellectual property rights in any manner is strictly prohibited. Possible claims will be forwarded to the entrant of the photo and video. “RIBs ONLY” under the purview of Medianaut, Karel Overlaet shall hereby be deemed exempt from any potential claims.
Multiple Submissions: Each entrant is afforded the opportunity to tender a maximum of four (4) unique photos and/or videos per category for evaluation in the Contest. The submission of more than four photos or videos per category shall result in immediate disqualification in that category. The same photo or video cannot be entered into more than one category. If so, it will not be accepted.
Deadline: All entries must be submitted by November 15th 2025 at one minute to Midnight being 23:59. “Midnight” can be different due to the time zone of the entrant. Later submissions will not be considered. The jury will announce the winners mid December 2025.
Category Selection: There are four (4). Entrants competing in the Contest must select the designated contest categories for their submission(s). Failure to comply with this directive shall render the submitted photo and/or video ineligible for inclusion in the Contest and will not be accepted. A. Photo Leisure Use: Highlighting the recreational aspects of RIBbing with your own Rigid Inflatable Boat, non-professional, non-commercial. B. Judges: The judges come from a range of disciplines from different countries; they will be considering photos and videos according to criteria including but not limited to design, interesting environments, artistic merit and originality. The chairman of the jury has no vote. There is no appeal against the composition of the jury. You can find the team here.
No responsibility Can Be Accepted for Entries: Meaning photos, videos that are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be submitted for any technical, delivery or other reason. So be sure to make a copy of the video you going to enter before submitting it.
The Contest Outcome is Final: Kindly take notice that the finality of the Contest outcome is absolute and precludes any potential deliberation or recourse. In the event that the victorious video of photo originates from a brand engaged in advertising on RIBsONLY.com, such an occurrence is entirely serendipitous. All determinations rendered by the adjudicators carry the force of binding effect and are immune from contestation.
By submitting your media, you grant the oganizer the non-exclusive rights to publish and share it. All copyright remains entirely yours.
This means I am allowed to display your media on RIBsONLY.com and across social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram and LinkedIn.
You will always be credited for your work. I do not sell your media. If someone expresses interest in purchasing it, I will refer them directly to you without taking any commission.
You retain the right to request removal of (some of your) your media at any time. To do so, simply email contest2025@RIBsONLY.com and clearly identify the specific file(s) you wish to withdraw, as related to the Photo and Video Contest.

1. I can’t find the upload frame. What should I do?
If you’re unable to see the upload box on the “Upload Your Work Here for the 3rd Annual RIB Photo and Video Contest 2025” page, try refreshing the page. Once refreshed, you should be able to see the “Click here to upload your file(s)” box.
2. Can I upload more than 4 files in a single category?
No, it’s not allowed to upload more than 4 images in a single category. I recommend focusing on showcasing your best work within the 4 files limit. Don’t use the same image in more than one category. You don’t have to upload them one by one. Just click each time on the upload box without clicking on send right away.
3. My photo is larger than 15 MB. What can I do?
If your file exceeds the 15 MB limit, it could be due to a high dpi setting (above 72 dpi). To reduce the file size, try the following: * Use graphic software like Photoshop or other tools to set the dpi to 72, which will help lower the file size. Reducing the dpi will also adjust the image size accordingly. So be sure to check the final dimensions. The maximum dimension per photo is 4096 x 4096 pixels. * Alternatively, resize your image, but make sure it remains equal or larger than 720 x 720 pixels.
4. My video is larger than 50 MB. What can I do?
If your video file exceeds the 50 MB limit, it could be because of a high resolution like 4K or up. To reduce the video size, try the following: Use graphic software like the free Adobe Express to convert your video to 1920 x 1080 pixels. That should help you.
5. I can’t upload my files. What should I do?
If you’re unable to upload photos or videos, contact me by email: contest2025@ribsonly.com. Make sure you tell me what steps you took. The more it is detailed, the better I can assist you.
6. My video is vertical. What should I do?
Only horizontal videos are taken into account. You can use this free tool to flip your vertical to horizontal video: Adobe Express.
7. How can I remove a file I uploaded?
To remove a file, go to your gallery overview. From there, you can easily delete the file you no longer want.
8. I can’t find my gallery. What should I do?
1. Make sure you are logged in to your account. 2. Navigate to the “Upload Your Work Here” page. If you don’t see your gallery right away, try refreshing the page. If after uoloading your work, your gallery might not appear immediately. Refreshing the page should make it visible.
9. How can I change the description or title of a file I uploaded?
To update the description or title of your uploaded file, go to your gallery overview. You can make the necessary changes directly from there.

No, your work is not used for AI/ML training.
16. What software did I use to setup this contest?
Finding contest software that met my specific needs was a real challenge. I was looking for something that offered full control, extensive customization, and affordability—a combination that seemed nearly impossible to find. After a long and frustrating search, I finally discovered “Contest Gallery” (link). For me, great software is only as good as the support behind it, and the helpdesk exceeded my expectations. It’s been a game-changer for me and definitely worth trying out! Just to clarify, I’m not being paid for this review.
