You Don’t Mess With the Arctic
An Arctic expedition planned for summer 2021 is being prepared after months of intensive work.
The voyage will traverse remote polar regions, mostly within the Arctic Circle, following historic routes once explored by Vikings and 18th-century navigators seeking a passage to the Pacific.
The journey will cross the North Atlantic to Greenland, continue through the Northwest Passage north of Canada, and proceed toward the Bering Strait between Alaska and Asia, covering over 7,000 nautical miles.
The route is historically dangerous due to ice, weather, and past tragedies.
The expedition also aims to highlight climate change impacts on ecosystems and Inuit communities.
We wish them good luck!
