Instead, he took a step back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A thinker by nature, he knew that theory alone wouldn\u2019t keep him steady in a rough sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the calm, open waters of the Gl\u00e9nan islands, he learned the language of waves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During this wave crossing he also felt how trim changes the boat\u2019s mood.
