I contacted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/samappears\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sam Tilley<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inflatable-repairs.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">InflatableRepairs<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ribstoreeu.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RIBstore<\/a> about the techniques used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Overall, it&#8217;s an interesting technique,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Of course, there are different ways to approach it. For example, I prefer using a hot knife instead of a heat gun. I&#8217;ve seen the consequences of someone cutting electrical wires ending up with a hole in the tube. And there are other methods for applying the cord as well.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reassured by a pro, I decided to post this video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Tools<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Specified nylon rope<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Masking tape<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electric heat gun<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Air pump<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step-by-step Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Preparation<\/strong><br>Inflate the tube to the required pressure of 3.5 PSI. Then take the specified nylon cord and check its length.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prepare the cord ends<\/strong><br>Remove 10 to 15 cm of the rope\u2019s outer layers at both ends. This will ease insertion through the handle or rubber eyes.<br>Wrap the exposed rope ends tightly with masking tape. This makes them easier to pass through the handle or rubber parts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Threading the cord<\/strong><br>Pull the rope through the keyhole of the rubber handle and the rubber eyes.<br>Make sure 40 to 50 cm of cord extends on both sides after threading.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Seal the cord ends<\/strong><br>Cut off the masking tape from the rope ends.<br>Use an electric heat gun to heat and seal the ends.<br>This prevents fraying and allows easier insertion into narrow openings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lock the cord in the handle<\/strong><br>Twist the cord near the handle\u2019s keyhole to create space.<br>Insert the sealed cord end 30 to 40 cm deep into the handle.<br>This ensures the cord is securely locked inside the handle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tighten and mark<\/strong><br>After securing one side, pull the cord from the opposite side to tighten it.<br>Mark the cord near the keyhole for correct alignment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deflate and repeat<\/strong><br>Deflate the tube to make the next step easier.<br>Repeat the locking process for the other side of the cord.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Final steps<\/strong><br>Once both ends are locked and tight, re-inflate the tube to 3.5 PSI.<br>Check the cord tension to ensure everything is secure.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Note<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Always heat-seal the rope ends for a clean and easy installation.
