It should be suitable for the typical number of passengers you have aboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/nanuk.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NANUK<\/a> case is my choice. It is the perfect carrier: strong, robust, safe and waterproof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is mandatory to have it on board. However, there is often a lot of confusion regarding the mandatory contents of first aid kits; there are only guidelines on what is recommended to be included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are no exact prescribed content; it should simply &#8220;cover any injuries&#8221;. Keep in mind that this is for first aid. Use also your VHF radio to call for help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, I asked my sister, who had been a head nurse for many years, to assist me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take the list to the drugstore, and they will provide you with all the needed contents of the case. They might even suggest more or other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is an overview of what items you should have with you for first aid:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bandage materials\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sterile gauze pads<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhesive bandages (various sizes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhesive tape<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Triangular bandages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sterile cotton balls<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safety pins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rubber bandage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compression bandages 7 cm x 4 m<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sparadrap roll<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mitella (triangular cloth)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wound cleaning\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Saline solution (for wound irrigation)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Antiseptic solution (such as iodine or chlorhexidine)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ampoules of physiological serum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sterile gauze pads 5 x 5 cm and 10 x 10 cm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sterile melamine compresses 5 x 5 cm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blood stoppers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Range of wound plasters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elastic cambric bandages width: 5 cm &#8211; 7 cm &#8211; 10 cm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vinyl disposable gloves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hydrophilic cotton wool<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instruments\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Disposable gloves (latex or nitrile)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bandage scissors (with blunt tip)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tweezers (for removing splinters)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fine-point tweezers (with pointed ends)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thermometer (non-mercury)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medications and other supplies\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pain relievers (e.g. Paracetamol, Ibuprofen; check the dates)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instant cold pack<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Antihistamine (for allergic reactions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anti-nausea medication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hand sanitizer (disinfecting alcohol for hands)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sunscreen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insect repellent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After bite pen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Miscellaneous items\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Emergency blanket (to protect against hypothermia, gold\/silver coloured)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First aid instructions or guidebook (including illustrated description CPR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pocket mask or safe kiss breathing cloth (for CPR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mouth masks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep that in mind when buying your precious RIB.
