What personal data do we collect?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The data we process depends on how you use the Marketplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Private Sellers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>name;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>email address;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>telephone number;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>country;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>information contained in a RIB listing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>photographs and listing content;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>communications with RIBsONLY;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>technical and security information related to use of the website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Professional Sellers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may additionally process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>company name;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>trading name;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>registered business details;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>company registration number;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>VAT number;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>business address;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>contact person;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>business email address;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>telephone number;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>website;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>billing information;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>subscription and payment information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medianaut does not need the seller&#8217;s bank details for the sale of a RIB because payments for RIBs are made directly between buyer and seller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Buyers and Visitors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may process information such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>information submitted through contact forms;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reports concerning listings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>communications with RIBsONLY.com;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IP address;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>browser and device information;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>security logs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>website usage information where permitted by applicable law.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Public Listing Information<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Certain information submitted by a seller is intended to be publicly displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>seller classification (Private Seller or Professional Seller);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>RIB details;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>asking price;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>photographs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>location;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>description;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional Seller business details;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>contact information selected for publication.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A seller should not include personal information in a listing that the seller does not want to make publicly available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Photographs:<\/strong> When you upload images to the Marketplace, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. Sellers must not upload personal documents, identity cards, bank information, or photographs containing unnecessary personal information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Private account information that is not required for publication will not normally be displayed publicly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Embedded Content<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Listings on the Marketplace may include embedded content such as YouTube videos or other media. Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited that other website. Medianaut is not responsible for that content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including if you have an account and are logged in to that website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Why do we process personal data?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medianaut may process personal data for the following purposes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>creating and managing seller accounts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reviewing submitted listings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>publishing approved listings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identifying Private and Professional Sellers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>administering Professional Seller subscriptions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>invoicing and accounting;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>communicating with sellers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>responding to enquiries;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sending the RIBs ONLY Insider newsletter (with consent);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>renewing or closing listings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sending the 90-day listing reminder;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>processing reports concerning listings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>preventing fraud and misuse;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>maintaining website security;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>enforcing the Marketplace Terms of Use;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>complying with legal obligations;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>establishing, exercising or defending legal claims;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improving the operation of the Marketplace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Personal data will not be used for purposes incompatible with the purpose for which it was collected unless permitted by applicable law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Legal bases for processing<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depending on the circumstances, Medianaut processes personal data on one or more of the following legal bases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Performance of a Contract<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Processing may be necessary to provide Marketplace services requested by a seller, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>creating an account;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reviewing and publishing listings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>administering a Professional Seller subscription;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>processing subscription payments;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>communicating about the service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Legal Obligations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Certain information may need to be processed or retained to comply with legal obligations relating to matters such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>accounting;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>taxation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>invoicing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>regulatory obligations;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>lawful requests from competent authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Legitimate Interests<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medianaut may process information where reasonably necessary for legitimate interests including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>preventing fraud;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>protecting users;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>maintaining website security;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>moderating listings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>preventing misuse of free Private Seller accounts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>establishing the correct seller classification;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>resolving disputes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>protecting the rights and reputation of RIBsONLY.com;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improving the Marketplace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where legitimate interests are relied upon, Medianaut considers the interests and fundamental rights of the persons concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Consent<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where consent is required by law, for example for certain non-essential cookies or specific marketing communications, processing will be based on consent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Consent may be withdrawn at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Professional Seller Verification<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medianaut may verify information supplied by a Professional Seller using:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>official company registers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>official VAT verification systems (including the European Commission&#8217;s VIES service);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>publicly available business information;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Professional Seller&#8217;s own website;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>other appropriate and reliable sources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The purpose of such verification is to confirm the identity and professional status of the seller and to protect the integrity of the Marketplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Seller Classification<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medianaut may review information connected with a seller&#8217;s activity to determine whether the seller should be classified as a Private Seller or Professional Seller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Relevant information may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>number of listings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>frequency of selling activity;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use of business details;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>commercial website information;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>repeated sales activity;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>other information reasonably indicating professional trading.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This assessment is intended to prevent misuse of the free Private Seller service and to provide users with accurate information about the status of the seller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Payments<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medianaut processes payments relating to its own services, such as the annual Professional Seller subscription.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Payment services may be provided by specialised third-party payment providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medianaut does <strong>not<\/strong> process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the purchase price of a RIB;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>deposits for RIB purchases;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>escrow payments;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>buyer-to-seller payments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those financial transactions take place directly between buyer and seller and are outside the RIBsONLY Marketplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Service Providers<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medianaut may use trusted service providers for purposes such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>website hosting;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>website security;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>email delivery;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>payment processing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>invoicing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>accounting;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>backups;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>website analytics;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>technical support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These providers may process personal data only where necessary to provide their services and subject to applicable data protection requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RIBsONLY does not sell personal data to advertisers or other third parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">11. Newsletter (RIBs ONLY Insider)<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you subscribe to the RIBs ONLY Insider newsletter, we collect <strong>only your email address, first name and last name<\/strong>, for the purpose of addressing you properly and sending you our newsletter and related updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your email address will not be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties for their own marketing purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The legal basis for sending the newsletter is your <strong>consent<\/strong> (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided at the bottom of every newsletter.
