The Unseen Struggles of Whales
Every year, many whales suffer and die after getting entangled in fishing ropes and gear left in the ocean.
These gentle giants are essential to ocean health but often drown or starve while trying to escape the entanglement.
It’s truly heartbreaking to witness such preventable suffering in whales that deserve our protection and respect.
Rescue teams work hard to save entangled this beautiful creatures, and they need our awareness and support.
Notice how they’ve raised the twin outboards out of the water to avoid disturbing the stressed whale. They also did this for security reasons.
This time the team were part of the Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
