SeaFighter SFR 42 with 3 x Mercury 400hp Racing V10

The SFR 42, a Greek Beauty

SEAFRAME Studio had an excellent collaboration with SeaFighter that resulted in a strong video.

They were given the opportunity to capture SeaFighter’s brand-new SFR 42.

This model is a masterful fusion of performance and elegance.

The Rigid Inflatable Boat is driven by three Mercury 400 hp Racing V10 outboards. This is achieved with the support of Zois Efstathiou.

The media team’s mission was to capture the soul of this high-performance SFR 42 RIB through his lens.

They used underwater footage, dynamic drone shots, FPV (first person view) passes, and close-range action sequences.

Every shot was carefully crafted. It conveyed the delicate balance between adrenaline and control.

The raw energy of the sea was captured without ever losing the cinematic feel.

Renier R9 Rigid Inflatable Boat Interesting Review

A Good Renier R9 Review

The Renier R9 is tested by The Boat Show off the Sicilian coast, demonstrating strong performance in challenging sea conditions.

The yard builds on the expertise of founder Luigi Renier, who designs and personally uses his boats extensively.

The R9 combines a clean layout with options for sterndrive or outboard power and flexible interior configurations.

Comfort comes from wide passages, hidden sunshade systems, a practical galley module, and generous storage throughout the deck.

A powerful V8 with duoprop propulsion delivers quick acceleration, stable handling, and confident control in rough waves.

The R9 maintains efficient cruising speeds with low consumption, allowing long-range travel with comfort and reliability.

BSC B2 – Test Drive in Summer Conditions

A BSC B2 Reviewed by Italian The Sea Team

The BSC B2 was tested at Largo di Posillipo with twin Honda 250 HP engines in summer conditions.

The test included a speed and consummation check.

You can see the report in the table below.

Comfort remained high with minimal vibration, dry deck, and stable handling on waves.

The walk-around layout and cabin with amenities for 4 support extended cruising.

T-Top added weight of course but did not compromise performance or structural integrity.

Replacing RIB Sheaths for Foam-filled Tubes

What’s Inside Foam-filled Tubes

If you wonder what these ‘tubes’ look at the inside, this video explains it all.

It demonstrates how to remove the sheaths from the tubes. The video included a quick before-and-after view.

The tube’s internal structure, is detailed explaining that the inner bladder pushes the hard foam outward.

When the boat impacts something, the inner bladder absorbs most of the shock as the foam pushes inward.

After pulling out the inner bladder, all the remaining components (foam) were removed by running a line at some point.

This line would allow them to pull the inner tube back through once the chassis was on.

What Are Possible Issues With Foam-filled Tubes

Some issues are logical like water penetration. It is the most important one. But there’s more to compare. The table below gives you a comprehensive overview. I included a video of the effect that air-filled tubes have on impact.

TROPIDA Saita 26 Carbon Edition

Interesting TROPIDA Model

The SAITA 26 by TROPIDA, developed with renowned naval architect Adam Younger, blends cutting-edge design with performance-driven engineering.

Its advanced hull features include twin bow steps, antidive system*, deep-V bow, ventilated steps, and double chine. That’s some hull!

These features deliver safety, stability, and a smooth ride even in rough seas.

The hull of this TROPIDA Saita 26 minimizes spray and speed loss.

The aerodynamic profile with a sharp hardnose bow, aft-positioned tubes, and a striking center console enhance both style and function.

The SAITA 26 is offered in Standard, Premium, and Carbon Editions.

*The antidive system is an innovation of TROPIDA on all its hulls. It prevents the bow to nail into the sea especially at rough seas. It keeps the spray away and makes the cruise safe and dry (image ©)

About TROPIDA

The Greek based company was founded in 2014 by Takis Samartzis after achieving four championship titles in open sea races in Greece.
